T.Rex project
A story from excavation to exhibition on TRIX, Europe’s first T.rex.
Excavated in Montana 2013 by Pete Larson from Black Hills Institute and Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Our film helped the donation and sponsoring programme in raising money to bring this remarkable fossil to the Netherlands.
More than 70% of the bone volume is present, this places TRIX in the top 3 ranking of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons in the world. In addition all the bones are extremely well preserved. The quality is unmatched by any other large T.rex find in the world.
